長野県飯山市の3つのブナ林（奥山成熟林・農村二次林・市街地孤立林）で、1999〜2022年の24年間にわたりモニタリングしたブナの花や実の生産量のデータを公開するものです。
森林の断片化が進む中、ブナの豊凶現象の実態や気候変動の影響を評価する貴重な基盤資料となり得ます。
ブナの実はツキノワグマの主要食物であり、凶作年のクマ出没予測や地域資源としての活用にも役立つと考えます。
